The Sims 4 Toddlers is finally here! After months of speculation, debates, and a lot of sleuthing, The Sims has finally released an update, which would bring toddlers to the game. Of course, the update. Note: this post is NOT about the toddler-update or the vampire/bowling DLC for The Sims 4! Dear users, Due to user requests, we are glad to inform you that we have managed to release an 'update-only' fix for The Sims 4.
The Sims 4 adds toddlers in a free update. The Sims 4 development team says that it hopes that this “will help to capture those moments of growth and nurturing we’ve seen you share over the years” and that it will highlight the “special bonds between parents and toddlers as they grow.”
This is the latest in a series of other free updates to the game, with previous patches adding the kleptomaniac trait to The Sims 4, while another patch removed gender restrictions from the game.

Announced with the above trailer, The Sims 4 finally adds toddlers to the game. “Over a hundred” new animations have been added, along with “dozens of new interactions” and “great new suites of outfits and objects,” explains a post on the game’s website.
Moreover, there are lots of “cute, heart-warming moments” that Sims can experience with toddlers. These include helping the little ones learn new skills with flash cards as well as teaching them to talk, having dance parties and teaching them how to use the potty. Sims can also read toddlers to sleep and carry them around their house.
Players have been asking for toddlers – which have featured in all of the main Sims series entries before it – ever since the game launched in 2014. However, although The Sims 4 development team has been working on adding the feature “for a while,” it also explains that the team had to find the “right time, resources and design to allow us to start the heavy process of actually building and bringing.”
Also to the delight of fans is that the addition of toddlers is just one of a handful of big Sims 4 announcements that have taken place this week. EA also announced two new pieces of paid-for DLC.
One of these includes The Sims 4 Vampires game pack which, in addition to vampire Sims, also adds the new location of Forgotten Hollow as well as a range of “vampire-themed clothing, hair, skin tones, eye colors and even teeth” as well as bits of vampire decor and gameplay objects.
The Vampires game pack also allows players to “earn points to unlock a plethora of powers” as they become a Master Vampire. The Sims 4 Vampires game pack will even allow players to make vampire toddlers when the DLC launches on January 24.
The other bit of DLC is called The Sims 4 Bowling Stuff pack, but it has yet to be fully detailed. Announced during the quarterly teaser for the game, EA has confirmed that it will launch sometime between now and the end of March, so fans may not have long to wait until they can become the leader of the lanes.
